Geoff Pryde is the Chief Technical Director for PsiQuantum in Australia. A global leader in his field, he has spent the last 20 years at the forefront of international research in quantum information science and technology.
With now PsiQuantum CEO and Founder Jeremy O'Brien, and co-workers, he demonstrated the world’s first all-optical two-qubit logic gate, a fundamental building block of a quantum computer, in Brisbane in 2003. He subsequently founded the Quantum Optics and Information Laboratory at Griffith University, which has produced breakthrough results at the international forefront of quantum information science and technology.
Geoff is a recipient of the Pawsey Medal of the Australian Academy of Science, and is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and a Fellow of Optica.
He formerly chaired the American Chamber of Commerce, & is the longest serving Chief Executive of CSIRO, and led a transformation which achieved the first growth in 30y, doubled the value delivered to stakeholders, & made CSIRO the first Australian entity to be Thompson Reuters rated in the Global Top 20 Innovators, beating NASA.
Larry co-founded & led 6 companies in Biotech, Telecom, Semi, & Venture Capital. He has a PhD in Physics & has been honoured for both his business acumen as a Fellow of AICD, but also his Technology & Engineering acumen as a Federation Fellow, & Fellow of AIP & ATSE; & an inaugural Male Champion of Change for STEM.
He is the author of the 2023 book, Invention to Innovation, which charts a course for Australian businesses to disrupt their Market, defeat competition and accelerate economic growth by using science driven innovation. He has 100 publications & conference papers, holds 20 patents, & has served on 20 boards of high-tech companies operating in the US, Australia & China.
Dr. Pranav Gokhale is Infleqtion’s Chief Technology Officer. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Super.tech, which was acquired by Infleqtion (ColdQuanta) in May 2022. Pranav has a PhD in quantum computer science from UChicago, where his research led to three best paper awards, over a dozen publications, and three patents. His work spans the full stack of quantum technology, from low-level pulse optimization to compilation to fault-tolerant quantum algorithm design and benchmarking. Pranav’s key application focus is the intersection of quantum technology and AI.
Philip is a quantum physicist and fintech leader with a PhD from Cambridge University, known for bridging cutting-edge science with real-world impact. As Group Head of Quantum Technologies at HSBC, he leads one of the most recognised quantum teams in finance, recently ranked #2 globally. He pioneered early breakthroughs in quantum security, including the world’s first telecom fibre-based QKD demonstrations with quantum dots. Appointed as a Quantum Adviser to the UK Government, Philip helps shape the national quantum strategy while making complex ideas accessible to business and policy audiences alike.
Kyle is the CEO and co-founder of Nomad Atomics, where the team is pushing the commercialization of quantum sensors with a keen focus on the applications of today. Over the last 16 years Kyle has been developing high-precision quantum sensors including vapor cell and cold-atom magnetometers, clocks, accelerometers and gravimeters.
Dr Foley is an internationally recognised physicist with major research achievements in superconductors and sensors which lead to the development of the LANDTEM sensor system to locate valuable deposits of minerals deep underground.
Dr Foley’s scientific excellence and influential leadership have been recognised with numerous awards and fellowships, including election to the Australian Academy of Science in 2020, and an Order of Australia for service to research science and to the advancement of women in physics. She received the Australian Institute of Physics Medal for Outstanding Service to Physics in 2016. She is a Fellow of Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering (2008) and an honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics (2019).
Dr Foley is an inspiration to women in STEM across the globe and focused strongly on equality and diversity in the science sector.
